BTS AT THE FRIENDS REUNION
“Friends: The Reunion Special”, recently released its official trailer, which brought many Freinds fans to tears. The trailer shows Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer reminiscing about their time together on the original show. Friends have always been one of the most popular TV shows, even after years since its end. BTS says being a part of Friends Reunion ‘feels like a dream’
This time, along with the original cast, Friends Reunion will also feature a lot of guest appearances. Amongst the guests’ list for the Friends Reunion, is the South Korean group and global superstars BTS. The boys have also shared their excitement about their “Dream” collaboration. ARMYs already know that the leader of the group, RM, has always been a fan of the show and has credited the show for helping him learn English.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight’s Lauren Zima, RM tells, while promoting their new single “Butter,” ahead of their 2021 Billboard Music Awards performance, “I’m so excited about this, and for me, it almost feels like a dream to be part of such a, it’s a legend, right? So now I feel like I became friends with the Friends.”. RM also reveals that back then, among South Korean parents, it was more like a syndrome to make their kids watch Friends. He continues, “I thought I was kind of like a victim at that time, but right now, I’m the lucky one, thanks to my mother. She bought me all 10 DVDs — all the seasons. So first, I watched them with the Korean subtitles, and then I watched with the English subtitles, and then I just removed it.” Jin and Suga were a fan of this show too.
When asked about their favorite characters, RM first picked Chandler (Perry) before quipping that it’s hard to pick one. On the other hand, Suga picked Monica Geller (Cox).
Friends: The Reunion is scheduled to release on May 27 on HBO Max in the US. The Indian fans have become joyful after the recent news that the show will be exclusively premiered on ZEE5. Manish Kalra, Chief Business Officer, ZEE5 India said in a statement, “We are extremely excited to bring ‘Friends: The Reunion’ exclusively on ZEE5 for the Indian market. Friends are amongst the world’s most-watched and loved sitcoms and it is a great opportunity for us to present their reunion, something that the world has been talking about, on ZEE5 for Friends fans in India.”
Recently, Ben Winston took to Twitter and hinted to the fans that BTS will have a small role to play, “I want to manage your expectations on this – it’s a really short moment from BTS. They are great of course, but they are one of the interviews, talking briefly about why they like friends,” he said.
While on the show, ” James Cordon’s Carpool”, the boys are seen jamming to “I’ll be there for you” which is Friend’s soundtrack.
