K-pop hot sensation, BTS, continues to rule over the world and set the Internet on fire by releasing their Second (All – English) Single, ‘Butter’ on May 21. Within 24 hours of its release, Butter registered over 108.2 Million views and thus making its way to the Guinness Book Of World Record, as the ‘Most- Viewed YouTube Music Video’ in 24 hours. But we all know that that’s not where BTS stops, as of May 25, Guinness Book Of World Record, through a Twitter Post, officially announced that the K-pop Band has broken a total of Five records with their new single ‘Butter’. From breaking the record for ‘the most viewers for the premiere of a music video on YouTube’ to beating down their own ‘Dynamite’ as ‘the most viewers of (any) video on YouTube’ with a total of 3.9 Million concurrent viewers globally. Further on the single broke the record for ‘the most-viewed YouTube video in 24 hours by a K-pop Band’ Finally, the Single smashed the record for ‘the Most Streamed track on Spotify in 24 hours’ with over 11 Million streams throughout the world, breaking the previous record of Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber’s 2019 track ‘I don’t Care’.
‘Butter’, which as said by the group’s leader is “very energetic and very summary, with a dynamic performance”, was performed live for the first time at the Billboard Music Awards 2021. The also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, earning the seventh spot, of artists who earned their first four Hot 100 No. 1 in the span of less than a year, joining in with the Liverpool’s Rock band, The Beatles, and American Singer-Songwriter Mariah Carey.
At a Global Press Conference for Butter, the group enthusiastically talked about their hopes and expectations for Butter. Here’s what the leader of the biggest boy band, RM, is aiming at. “We are thinking of the Grammys. We will do whatever we can, to set (winning Grammy) as a goal.” The sunshine of the group, aka, J – Hope wishes that Butter can really be a “Summer Song”. And we can definitely see his wish turn into reality. Butter indeed raises up the Spirits of anyone who listens to it.
BTS is once again globally dominating the Music Industry, with Butter. They performed their latest single life at Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series on 28 May and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on May 26, 2021. The Band had ARMYs heart melting like butter (yes, once again!), by releasing a Choreography, Special Performance Video, of ‘Butter’.
And underneath all this ‘Record Breaking’, BTS dropper ‘Butter’ Hotter Remix’, which definitely got ARMYs rolling on the floor with laughter, with the never ending saga of you know, our little Mochi, falling off the chair and much more. BTS continues to sweep their fans off their feet. As of 1PM KST, the Band, released a Sweeter and Cooler remix of their latest single. With the ongoing FESTA week, we can surely expect BTS to literally blow our minds with more surprises
